A Day Of Recovery

A Live One-Day In-Person Retreat at the Musea Center for Intentional Creativity in Sonoma, California

July 10, 2021 - 10am to 7pm

Those of us in Northern California who aren't essential workers have been mostly sheltered and isolated for over a year. Even for the introverts among us, that's hard on our nervous systems. And for those on the front lines, it's finally time to take a breath and look around, to receive the gratitude of your community and give yourself permission to exhale.
  • In honor of reopening, we're planning a one-day, in-person workshop in Sonoma, California for 30 people who are ready for healing, connection, playtime, and celebration of surviving a year that was very traumatic for many people..
  • Let's spend a day coming together for restoration, connection, heart opening, creativity, singing, dancing, writing, and just a bit of trauma recovery. We'll do all the things I love to facilitate at live workshops that we haven't been able to do on Zoom.

Intentional Creativity

The Day Of Recovery With The Muse will take place in the Valley of the Moon district of the Carneros wine region of Sonoma County at the Musea Center for Intentional Creativity, owned by my dear friend and partner in art and ruckus-making Shiloh Sophia.

This inspiring space is beautifully hung with museum quality art backed up against vineyards and a redwood tree. Check out Musea here. I will also be bringing some of my own art, in case you've always wanted to own an original Lissa Rankin encaustic (pigmented beeswax) painting!
Let's spend a day coming together for restoration, connection, heart opening, creativity, singing, dancing, writing, and just a bit of trauma recovery.

ABOUT LISSA

Lissa Rankin, MD
Lissa Rankin, MD, New York Times bestselling author of Sacred Medicine, The Daily Flame, Mind Over Medicine, The Fear Cure, and The Anatomy of a Calling is a physician, speaker, painter, sculptor, musician, mother, and mystic.

When she was practicing medicine, Lissa was also a professional artist with ten galleries showing her art. She left her gallery life when she committed to writing full time, but she continues to paint, sing, and make music and art with her daughter Siena as part of her creative and spiritual muse practice. As she demonstrated by her Whole Health Cairn model of healing, Lissa believes that creative expression is a fundamental part of healing, along with all other 9 facets of wellness, as taught in Mind Over Medicine and the Six Steps To Radical Self-Healing video program she created.

In 2017, Lissa founded the Healing Soul Tribe community after years of talking with public health physicians and mind body medicine pioneers about the pre-Covid public health epidemic of loneliness, which has been exacerbated by recent world events. Healing With The Muse is the latest iteration of this vision to bring people together, inspired by the experience of teaching Alchemizing Uncertain Times Through Writing during the 2020 pandemic. Marrying the best of both worlds, Healing With The Muse brings creativity and lightness of heart together with healing, music, dancing, unpacking stuck traumatic energies, and other medicines from the world’s medicine bag aimed at helping those in recovery from illness, injury, or trauma and easing loneliness.

Lissa is the founder of HEAL AT LAST, whose mission is bring people in recovery from illness, injury, or trauma together in circles of creativity and healing for the purposes of improving physical and mental health outcomes, particularly for people who conventional medicine has been unable to cure. Using cutting edge trauma healing methods, spiritual healing, energy medicine, movement, art, and music, the vision of Heal At Last is to empower individuals and communities of healing who are ready for it. Heal At Last is committed to bringing deep healing work to anyone who is emotionally and spiritually ready for radical transformation, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender identity, political affiliation, or religion.

In 2012, Lissa founded the Whole Health Medicine Institute, where she and a team of luminary faculty train physicians and other health care providers about “Whole Health” and the “6 Steps to Healing Yourself.” Lissa has starred in two National Public Television specials, her TEDx talks have been viewed over 4 million times, and she leads workshops, both online and at retreat centers like Esalen, 1440, Omega, and Kripalu.
