The Curriculum of 
'The Six Steps to Healing Yourself'

Step One: Believe that healing is possible.
If you believe you’re incurable, terminal, or chronically ill, you’ll have a hard time experiencing a radically different outcome. But if you’re willing to question your beliefs and open yourself to the possibility that healing could happen and cure might be in the cards for you, you open a portal of possibility. Once you’ve removed the anchored belief that cure is not possible, you make yourself available to become a “health outlier,” someone who has the potential to have a better-than-expected outcome. This is not about magical thinking or entering a delusional state of false hope or denial. It’s about removing blocks to the doorway of healing and then walking all the way through that doorway into grounded hope.
Step Two: Connect and surrender to your Inner Pilot Light, letting your inner knowing guide your healing journey.
Once you allow yourself to believe that healing is possible for you, the next step is surrendering your attachment to outcomes. This is no small feat when you’re suffering and desperate for relief. However you access it, solidifying your connection to this higher power and accessing it inside your own being is the key to your healing. This kind of spiritual surrender is not passive. Once you let go of thinking you can control this process, intuition, signs and synchronicities, body wisdom, and whatever else you will need to navigate this path will come your way. Once you are connected to this web of life with your act of surrender, you can no longer remain separate from it and it can rise to support your journey. 
Step Three: Surround yourself with healing support.
While connecting to your Inner Pilot Light gives you the internal support you’ll need, you’ll also need external support in the form of a healing team. As much as some self-help books like to suggest that healing can be a solitary journey, optimal healing does not usually arise from the consciousness of the rugged individualist. Perhaps part of the healing process is intended to restore your place of belonging in the tribe. If you believe you have to do everything yourself and you can’t dare to rely on anyone else’s love and support, that’s a recipe for illness. Discerning carefully who has a seat at your “Healing Round Table” could save your life. 
Step Four: Diagnose the root cause of your illness.
Healing is the natural state of the human body, so when healing stops and disease takes over, it’s important to enter a state of curious inquiry about what led to an interruption of the natural self-healing process. If you open yourself to being curious without self-judgment, you’re likely to get surprising feedback about what might have caused the interruption. What many people find when they work through this step is that some sort of situational, developmental, or environmental trauma holds the key to this diagnostic process. Many, though not all, illnesses may be the result of unhealed trauma, especially those mysterious illnesses that are either hard to diagnose, have no known treatment, or do not respond well to conventional medical treatment. The Whole Health Cairn wellness model, based on the health of your relationships, your work, your creative life, your sexuality, your relationship to spirituality and your Inner Pilot Light, your relationship to scarcity or abundance, your living environment, your mental health, and how you treat your body physically with traditionally healthy behaviors, is the foundation of this step. 
Step Five: Write The Prescription for yourself. 
This step culminates in an intuitively-guided action plan for how to live a life your body will love. At the end of this process, you will know what’s next, if action needs to be taken. This action will not come just from the freaked out mind; it includes your mental intelligence, but also your other Whole Health Intelligences, crafting a comprehensive and broad ranging treatment plan that may include conventional medicine, alternative medicine, and lifestyle changes based on what you learned from examining the Whole Health Cairn of your life. 

Step Six: Treat your fears and resistance. 
 Before you’re likely to take action, you’ll need to unblock any conscious or unconscious resistance. Otherwise, you may be spinning your wheels, with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake. Most people have parts that want to get well and parts that don’t. This step helps you uncover the parts that might sabotage your healing- so they can be treated, freeing you up to become a true health outlier.
